Pack light for this trip, especially if you are traveling by rail. If you would like to have any kind of supplies cached at the campground ahead of your arrival, just reach out and coordinate with us because an organizer will be driving a load up from LA about a week before the trip (we can also transport anything you’d like back to LA afterward)
Bring some kind of bag to comfortably carry your *two bottles* of Pliny the Younger and/or any ingredients for preparation on the grill/campfire.
In our experience, lycra hasn't been the most versatile travel attire. We recommend lightweight clothing that can be hand-washed and hung to dry between uses. We usually bike-travel with just one full change of clothing and a couple packable layers so everything can fit into one bag.
Plan to cook some kind of dinner at the campground every night. We will have breakfast at nearby cafes to start each day and we will have no shortage of dining opportunities throughout the day at our planned stops. We will provide wood, charcoal, cooking utensils, and picnickware for the cabin campsite so you can feel free to whip up a snack if you get up early or feel peckish in the evening.
If you are staying in the cabin you will have to provide your own sleeping bag or twin bedding. We can transport it for you ahead of time so you don't have to worry about carrying it on your bike. Other campsites will require your own tent and bedding which we will also be happy to transport for you.
Backup batteries for your mobile devices and/or bike lights are strongly encouraged and we will do our best to keep apprised of available charging opportunities. We don’t want you running out of juice and unable to reach us (or snap that perfect selfie) We will bring a fully charged large back-up battery to the campground just in case.
